An average person spends about two thirds of the day being awake, working, doing school work, house work etc. The last third is spent resting and sleeping. This is when our minds go at rest and replenishes those brain cells. Same goes for our body, cells are regenerated while we are asleep. This is why a good night sleep is important. That can be achieved with a good quality mattress and beddings/sheet set.
What makes a great bed? For me a comfortable and supportive mattress is a major key to a good night’s sleep. Just imagine sleeping in a too hard or too soft and sagging bed. You will end up tossing and turning all night and waking up more tired that when you went to bed. Also, good beddings, such as pillows, bed linen uk and sheets also make a big difference. I totally stay out of percale or polyester blend sheets as they fray into little fabric balls and gets itchy after a while. A good 100% cotton sheet with 300 or above thread count is heaven. You don’t need a lot of sheet sets. Two to rotate in the beginning is fine. Make sure you change your sheets every week so dust and dust mites don’t gather.
